Another Earth

Now that you’re reading this, stop.  Walk over to a mirror and look at it.  What do you see?  Are you seeing yourself, or could it possibly be that you’re seeing someone else looking back at you.  Which one of you is the one doing the looking, and which is doing the seeing?  The idea in science about mirror universes is a fascinating one.  There are all sorts of theories that say when we’re faced with a decision, every option actually happens.  This means when you can go left or right at a crossing, while you may choose right, another you chooses left.  It’s a strange and fascinating subject.

The Art of Getting By

There are two types of people in this world.  There are thinkers and there are doers.  Doers usually have all the fun.  They can act as a result of planning, or they can act solely on impulse.  Thinkers on the other hand usually analyze a situation so much that things can become meaningless.  Thankfully you can find a happy medium and not overthink a situation but rather just enough so that you can enjoy the situation you find yourself being presented.  This film really focuses on a true thinker and how that can make everyday life seem rather dull, boring, and meaningless.

Black Swan

There seems to be so much pressure put on everyone in Ballet. You have to stay thin, you have to stay fit, and you have to be within the proportions that the ballet director wants. Children at a very young age are heartbroken when they find out that due to limitations beyond their own control they just don’t fit the requirements of ballet. Imagine meeting them, and having to perform for them. Would you do anything you could to make it big in what you love the most?
